Twilight: New Moon

Okay, so I know I'm really not supposed to blog about things that weren't assigned to me by my teacher, but this screamed "BASH ME ON YOUR BLOG, OMG PLEASE!"

So my sister and I just went to see New Moon. In short: it was quite possibley the best worst movie I've ever seen. Why, you ask?
  • Acting was terrible (except for the actor who plays Charlie)
  • Graphics were awful
  • Edward Cullen's nipples (and the rest of his body) were extremely unattractive
  • Everything was beyond cheesy (ex. Alice's premonition of Bella being a vampire, where her and Edward were running through the damn field)
  • The eyes (especially the red ones) looked 100% fake, as did the blood
  • Edward Cullen looked like he was about to cry, like every ten minutes

Need I say more? Doubt it... Do I recommend this movie? YES! I challenge you all to watch this trainwreck without laughing! Good luck!

Tragic Accident, or New Circus Freak?

So I'm pretty sure we've all heard of the poor woman being brutally attacked by a famous chimp, I mean, how could you not? She's only been plastered all over news shows, and Oprah! This is totally disgusting how the media is pretty much buying her as a freakshow, so they get more viewers, and can say they had the "monkey woman" on their show. Exploiting a tragedy like this is completely horrible and should not be allowed. Did anybody see her segment on Celebrity News? They displayed her as some sort of freak like she was in a circus. The fact that she was on Oprah is a different story. Oprah recognizes her as a human being in need, and her goal is to help people and make their lives easier, be it handing them gobs of money, or just supporting them. When we see something this horrific in the media, I don't think it occurs to us that these things are happening to real people, and maybe that's why we find it so entertaining to follow these stories, but if something like this had happened to somebody we love, we would most likely not find it so entertaining, but extremely upsetting.

ZOMG! SWINE FLU! GIT YER SHOTS, Y'ALL!

Did you get your vaccination? Neither did I! Wanna know why? Becaaaauuuusssse I think it's a load of bull. The media hypes up H1N1 so much, and makes it seem like it'll wipe out the whole damn continent. It's causing society to spend their bucks on unneccessary meds and vaccinations, and most of these people are not even in the "target zone" (for example, my grandma, who pretty much bought the whole friggin' pharmacy "just in case"). It really seems like businesses are praying off of people's fear by making them think they need certain products to ward off the pig flu. These companies are getting rich by planting thoughts into people's heads. Despite how wrong this is, it definitely seems to be working, considering so many people are getting vaccinated. In my full and honest opinion, I think H1N1 is no less dangerous or fatal than the normal flu, so we're scaring ourselves over nothing.
